Project SEED addresses the problem of childhood hunger in a very simple and direct way. Project SEED provides a bag of food every Friday during the school year for students to take home. The bag contains nourishing food for the weekend to supplement the free lunch program that the child receives during the week. Project SEED ensures that a child won’t go hungry just because it’s the weekend.
We will be collecting the following items throughout the year. PLEASE consider donating a food item or making a cash donation. $12 feeds a child for a month!
- Granola/breakfast bars
- Individual cereal servings
- Fruit cups
- Canned pasta meals (pop-off lids)
- Apple sauce cups
- Pudding cups
- Individual servings of peanut butter
- Individual cracker packs
- Macaroni and cheese
- Canned soup (pop-off lids)
- Toaster pastries
- Fruit roll-ups
On behalf of the Public Relations and Community Service Committee, thank you in advance! If you are unable to attend the meeting, but would like to donate, just give me a call and I will pick up the items from you. Brandy Fabry, PR Chair 724.831.2370
